Quiet Things From Afar.

A couple of weeks back I was tagged by the gorgeous Gigi over at The Magpie's Fancy. It's a sweet and simple tag which asks you re-post your fifth and tenth post. I love looking back and seeing how slightly, hmm, aimless, or maybe unfocused Milkmoon was! I didn't really know what or why I was blogging, and I suppose it took time to become what it is today. And I've no doubt it will continue to grow and change and develop as time goes on.
So without further ado:
~*~

11/10/07.
No car today. It's so nice when you HAVE to walk. Except I forgot my camera... So here's some quiet things from our quiet day.

E drawing a portrait of baby B. The sound of his marker scratches the page. The quiet of concentration.

The evening sun slants in our bedroom window. Baby breathing in my ear.

The kitchen door, waiting for Jay to come in from work.

~*~

I'll post my tenth post tomorrow and pass on the tags. Let me know if you'd like to be included!

Thanks for the offer, but can't do meme at this time- already the wrong side of busy these 2 weeks!
It's interesting that you forgot your camera in this post, and the previous beach one! But you still manage to post the most amazing words and photos- rising to the challenge!

You haven't changed at all, Ciara - it's still the fine detail of personal things, and it works very well. I like the expectant door.

I absolutely agree with Mise. Your blog, to which I am rather a jinny-come-lately, has a tender quality which was there in the beginning, too. Your photos and text haven't changed so much as grown.

Lovely. It's also great to be able to look back at that point in time, see what you were thinking about and what you were doing, and it hits you that the child who's now running around was then a baby on your shoulder...

(though I like the idea of this meme, I don't think I'll take it up at this point - it's fun to see other people's earlier posts though)

Definitely not unfocused. It is a celebration of the little miracles of everyday life. To think that B was just a babby then. So cute to see E's chubby little hands drawing a picture of his wee brother. And his pirate striped cast.
