My Sister Emma.

After a gap of two years, my only sister is home.

All the way from Alabama.

We anticipate days like this one we had yesterday.

Where the little ones get to know her all over again.

And we hang out together.

And meet with friends.

I just know the weeks will fly by far too fast,

so without monopolising her,

we have plans to monopolise her...

a teensy bit.

Oh, yes! DO monopolize her! A... teensy... bit. :) I have four sisters, but one who makes her home 3000 miles away. I know this- the joy and excitement these visits bring! And the "falling quickly back into", as if never having been apart for you two. When my sister visited this past May from CA, we both burst out laughing and no-one else knew why. We both were wearing the EXACT (and slightly unusual) same color of nail polish! On our toes! Even though the visit had a joyful yet somber purpose- visiting Dad, we found ourselves putting our sandaled feet side by side(in disbelief? comparison?) at the oddest times. Yet there was nothing odd about it. SISTERS!!

ENJOY!!!! ENJOY EACH OTHER! HAPPY HOMECOMING, EMMA!

:D

It is so great to be home! And it feels like I have hardly been away. Even Billy and Thomas feel like old friends. I had a wonderful time I Wicklow with you all and want lots more days like that. We are having a wonderful time in Sligo. I wish all the Kilcoole gang were here too.

How wonderful to have your sister back. I last saw my sister in Australia early 2008, before that it was years and years. it's hard.
