At Last!

Our house is a building site.

White dust in every crevice and nook and cranny.

But I am happy. It's finally started. Time to grit my teeth and get on with it.

And the summer holidays start today!

So with those two things combined, I think we will be mostly out and about for the next few weeks.

So it's just as well we are actually having a summer this year!

And... The Eldest and My Only Girl and their cousin M made the most amazingly fabulous spoof of their most favourite movie, *Twilight*. If you have ten minutes to spare do take a peek here.

What a great start to the summer guys!

Oh that's so exciting!! I'm a bit in awe of your bravery-- I have some big necessary projects over here that are long overdue. But summer is the best time, it's true!

Yes that film is THE BEST! I LOVED IT!!

I can't wait to see your work in progress... I love the feel of your cozy home and can't wait to see what you do. Your style reminds me so much of how I feel when I look at Carl Larsson's works. (there are 2 on my blog in "Dear Little One" back in May) Maybe it's the warm clear light, and THAT GREEN that I love, and a tranquil sort of energy...

Whoohoo! Keep us posted! :)

Circe, I adore Carl Larsson! And I am delighted with your comparison. I have his book A Home which is one of my absolute favourites. To see his home and his family in situ in such beautiful and delicate drawings is wonderful.

Therese, if only! I'd be there like a shot!

I hope you and your family enjoy the summer holiday and that the weather makes an outdoor life possible.

what are you getting done? i'd love to do the attic, but don't want to take out a loan and haven't got enough money saved. i think. should really get some quotes...

Peitseoga, all will be revealed. But basically we are turning a huge garage space into much needed extra bedrooms, and taking out a room that is intended to be a pantry but is a bedroom, which is in our kitchen. So more kitchen space. I will be doing a few posts about it all I'd say, in the next couple of weeks!
