Treading Water.

I know it's been a bit quiet around here.

Once again Jay's away, this time in Washington D.C.

After five days life just becomes a bit hectic and I have to simplify things! And we still have a few to go.

So as I sat on my couch with my laptop on my knee, chatting to Jay as he sat in Starbucks somewhere, I marveled at how brilliant technology is, that we can do this so easily!

Apparently Lisa Hannigan is all over the radio there, so I thought I'd post another of her videos for you to start your week. And if you like what you hear then do check out her album, the cover of which by the way was photographed by our very own sweetie Cliona.

I hope you enjoy!

Ah, Ciara, if only you could have come with Jay!

I'd have done my level best to buy or cook you both a meal... is he right in town?

I do LOVE that video! Although I'd love to know which stations Jay is hearing; I must certainly be listening to quite the wrong ones here... (when not overdosing on the Twilight soundtrack, yes you may roll your eyes ;)

I thought of you last evening while watching Saturday Night Live, as "Ciara" was performing. Each time I hear her name said, I'm left wondering, "Is that right?" since you came first to me, and I imagine, possibly incorrectly, that your name is said like "see-are-ah", rather than "sea-air-uh". I'd love to be enlightened either way!

My word confirmation is 'condag', which as a family surname, apparently orginated in Queenstown Ireland, and in Liverpool... hm.

It's Mother's Day here: Happy Mother's Day to you!

I love this video and the beautiful song, Ciara! Lovely music and pop-up books all in one--hard to beat! Thanks, as usual, for the inspiration.

Hello lovely~
As Chris just returned from spending the week in Germany today, I can relate to how life gets with four children and one parent. Keep your chin up my friend - if anyone can keep things running smoothly, it is you~
Thinking of you,
xo

Ah thank you all for your sweet words.

Circe, I've had this question asked so many times! My name is an Irish name that means dark-haired (no I never had dark hair!) and it's pronounced the way Keira Knightly pronounces her name. With a hard K sound, like the Russian Kira. Hope that is enlightening!

Ciara, I admire you, you are so strong! I can just imagine how proud Jay must be having chosen you to be his wife and the mother of his children! All my love and strenght to you!♥♥ The music is lovely!

I am not familiar with her!! Thanks for the tip... I'm off to check out more of her music.

I hope you have a tolerable week without Jay. My husband has to be occasionally out of town as well and I find that I tend to stay up far too late reading when he's away. Makes me get totally off any sort of schedule and slightly wacko.
