What Lies Ahead.

Continuing the theme, for a moment, of no blimmin internet, it's been frustrating to say the least. It looks set to be a bit unpredictable until it's sorted out properly, which looks likely to be after the long weekend ahead. Of course.

So in the meantime I am preparing myself for the onslaught of chocolate that Easter brings. While it's been a number of years since I first gave up sugar, this is the longest I have managed to stay off it consistently. Last Easter I found myself falling off the wagon bigtime. Think the Father/Comte de Reynaud from Joanne Harris' Chocolat. That scene. You know the one. That was me last Easter. Chocolate is my biggest weakness, and I find myself strangely fascinated that I can actually not eat it. It's just not worth the four day recovery. So here's to a year of no chocolate and to breaking out all the will power I've got to get me through the next few days!

Okay, details please. Is it a dairy issue? Caffeine? Just chocolate in general? Please tell me you aren't allergic to it... Please.

Oh, I LOVE that scene in Chocolat!

Wow, you are amazing to give up sugar. I try so hard, yet still I give in. I'm weak, I tell ya, weak. Easter is the absolute pits for me. Worse than Halloween even. I love those darn Reese's peanut butter eggs too much. Sigh.

I love chocolate... Easter is a killer for me too, but I just say Oh well and start again when its all gone!!!

You should just stock up on sugar free chockys and when you get the urge eat a bit of that!

So, are you going to eat that scrumptious cupcake or am I? Have a wonderful easter break and I hope the internet gets sorted quickly; it would be so annoying to be without it.

You poor woman! I'm succumbing already.

I hear that the smell of vanilla is good for beating the craving, and that alow vera juice with some cinammon in it is also good for supporessing appetite and sugar cravings?

Alternatively, make yourself a big sugar free chocolate cake? Smoke a lot?

Good luck!
