When I was growing up, you only had to mention an interest in something and almost without fail, within a few days you would come home to find a book (usually), or a related item lying on your bed or desk. It was magic! And that's my Dad. And he's still the same. He's the King of 'Turnupstuffers', (for all you Pippi Longstocking fans).
A week or two ago, I did a post about these lovely aprons I got, including a Holly Hobbie one. I happened to mention my long-ago disappointment at not having one.
Lo and behold, what do I find upon opening a shoebox he handed me yesterday?
This.
A proper vintage 1974 Holly Hobbie, all the way from California.
That's my Dad.
