What To Do When The Birds Take My Words?

Do you have weeks like this?

I think I must be tired, but I have spent the last week sporadically looking at my computer screen and wondering will I ever have anything to say again! And my camera is like a good friend who, through no fault of their own, I suddenly find annoying and don't want to see.
The evenings pull in around us like a cosy cloak, hugging close, murmuring in our ears sweet words like 'laze', and 'fire', and 'comfort', while at the same time the prospect of such things tripping our way, just around the bend, is enough to cause a flurry of clearing, cleaning and organising...while all I want to do is, yes, laze.

When I lay in the grass today...
 I'll be right back...

Ciara, I've been a bit this way, of late. Wondering if I am running out of steam, or maybe the blog has gone as far as it can.

I'm hoping things will pick up, for both of us.

Oh Martin! Don't say that! I never would have guessed you were.
I think we'd be tiresome and insufferable and completely suspect if we had marvelous gems of brilliance and cleverness every day, don't you? Don't give up blogging, please!

Maybe we all feel that way from time to time. I know I do and there'll be a little hiatus. But, then, I see something or take a photo and I'm back.
I'll be glad to see you back when you need to be here.

Think of it as if you're stocking up on good things. You stay open to the beauty and joy in life, and soon enough you'll find the words for it again.

Oh my goodness, I've had a similar feeling! I've been scrolling through, reading lovely blogs, and thinking that I don't seem to have any words - to either comment with or to write my own posts. I'm patiently waiting for it to pass. I love your phrase, "What To Do When The Birds Take My Words?"

Your photo is stunning!

This year is very different for us as we've had little or no cloud since January. We have become used to clear long days, so now that they are closing in, with full dark at 8ish and just bright at 7ish. We are getting a bit angsty.

Oh Ciara...and then there are other days when the words tumble out and flow and become their own river-story. Your photo is so lovely...it says plenty. It says more than enough.

Do you need a Comrade in Lazing? I don't have anything to say either. Never do, but I battle on regardless. Shall I pour us some comradely hot ports?

Just relax, breathe....take your time. We'll all still be here when you get back. Sometimes quiet stillness is just what we all need, without pressure.

Sometimes I feel this way too. It seems like everything has been said and done in blogland, but then again I remember that I write to keep track of myself. Would I be los if I give up blooging? I don't think so, but I know I'd be missing parts of myself, not to mention the connection with the rest of you.

I have these problems a little too often. Sometimes just being is as much as we can or want to manage!
