Today was a quiet day. One of those ones when you intend doing one job and end up doing another. I ended up tidying, dusting and re-organising the bookshelves. We have a lot of books. I mean a lot. So I'm off to bed now and it's only half done. But it looks so much nicer. And the school christmas fair is coming up so it's a good time to move a lot of stuff out of the house. I look forward to this every year and make a bee-line for the bric-a-brac stall where in the past I have found really lovely plates and tea sets etc. At the end of the day they are literally giving it away. So I need to make room!
My current favourite socks on favourite foot number 7, or is it 8?
Having small children hasn't cured me of my irrational dislike of balloons. I love how they look, how they move, the symbolism of them. Just don't put one near me! But isn't it always reassuring when even older children can spend twenty minutes chasing a ballon around a room and giggling hysterically! :-)
