How We Fell Into A Sleepy Torpor...

We have been snowed in all week...

Something that is highly unusual for us at this time of year...

No school...
Nothing for it but to stay in and stay warm...

And feed the birds...
(Sorry Sparrow, you'll just have to watch from the window!)

We love it. You'll find not a whisper of 'Bah Humbug' from this household!
But as we live so close to the sea, the snow melts far too soon in our saltwashed garden, so we hope to get out and about tomorrow for some fun and games.

Hope you are having a lovely week wherever you are!

  5. It's wonderful, isn't it?
And I did have school, 3 days this week, walked 50 mins there and back, but it's still wonderful (I hope all those people who say "snow is wonderful if you don't have to go to work" read your blog)!
Just what we need to forget about the imf!
Your photos are gorgeous. Enjoy your fun tomorrow!

  6. I love coming to visit your blog. Im always blown away by your beautiful photos. I love those clouds. I remeber when I lived in Dublin and I was was amazed how low the clouds where. Here in Australia there so high up in the sky.
Now I live in the upper Mountain Blue Mountains about 900 meters above sea level.
The clouds get low here at times. This time of the year it get very foggy up here it feels like I live in a cloud...:)

Happy 40 birthday. It sounds like you had a wonderful time....

  7. Oh, lucky you. Snow at seaside. And no school. Bliss.

Here we are cold, cold. But it's sunny and bright and delightfully Christmassy. We love it, especially Edward. It's his favourite sort of weather by far.

  8. My goodness - what fabulous photos. We've been snowed in too all week, although being in the city, things aren't quite so picturesque. I envy you your beautiful home. Ours is lovely too - don't get me wrong - but oneday we're moving into the wilds of Northumberland. I'm determined.

  9. Your birthday trip to London looked and sounded like absolute heaven! Some day I'll get there, too. Sigh.
But the photos of this post are so wonderful, that I'm sure you were glad to be home just to see it in this light. Were you?
Such times of exquisite happiness make the slog of everyday life just a teensy bit easier, because we know that they will come again...before too long. Have a lovely weekend. xo
